Nursery Owner

My name is Vicki and I am the founder of Rose Buddies Childcare.  The name originated from my late Nan who was called Rose and was a Childminder for many years starting in 1959.

 

I have 20 years experience with working with children in various sectors, including teaching them to ride ponies, helping in primary schools as well as general babysitting . My career path changed when I had my son in 2011 and then went on to have 3 daughters, the youngest in 2016. I then completed the relevant training, so I was able to offer other children the chance to join me in my home as a Childminder. I offered children the chance to grow and develop with me, alongside my own children.  As time went on the demand for my services grew so I employed assistants to work alongside me in my home.

In 2022 we had the opportunity to expand further when a hall, where I would attend toddler groups came up for sale. Due to our huge waiting list and the support of my assistants Nicole and Sophie we decided to expand further into a nursery setting.

We continue to provide a home from home environment on a bigger scale where children are treated and cared for as our own but now get to socialise with more children. Lot of children have been with us through my progression as a Childminder to the setting we are now in and have flourished in the new setting. We have built up a friendly community through our setting with lots of families now able to return to work knowing their children are happy and well cared for everyday.

We are always full of fun, smiles and laughter! The children are all really happy and although we have weekly themes running to support a range of topics to learn about we are ultimately child led so follow each child's individual interests.

We are always happy to answer any questions and pride ourselves on being a friendly setting where parents feels comfortable to approach us without feeling judged. I am passionate about providing top class Childcare so always like to improve my knowledge and take on board feedback to improve our setting.
